Hi, My name is Joji Kashimura. I am from Japan. I have been in New York for 4 years. Before I came to New York, I had never spoken English. I will try to attend college in a different country so that I will make a better life. I think attending college in America is a benefit for me because learning English is difficult and it is useful for my skills. While I attend this college, I will improve my English and learn the academic subject. However, It was tough that learning English and to pass the test for admission to this college. I have been to this school for 1 year and a half, but I was taking the ESL class and took the CATW test last semester. it is not enough to understand English in a book. My next step is deeper for English!

This is my first time going to college and I am excited about it. I choose computer science because I would like to be a Software engineer. Now learning computer is trending because if I was professional at the computer, I would have more choices for jobs. Even I can work in a different country. For example, working in Japan is becoming unstable for an engineer because our population is decreasing and higher taxes. On the other hand, In China, Computer technology is becoming growth and wages are good. It is good for an engineer. In that situation, I will move to China and can get a job there. That’s why I think the engineer is good for me. but I hope I will be still in New York and get a job and if I can, I would like to take a master's degree. I like New York and there are a lot of opportunities. To sum up, I don't know my future. I have to consider my school life because it is busy for me and the semester is very first.
